A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE

Like Turning Point Brooklyn, the Center for Community Alternatives (CCA) was a Media Share grantee and I was their Producing Mentor. My job was to train them in basic video production and to create a program for the organization.

The video above grew out this staff training. CCA employee Rafael "Q" Quintana, who's featured in my program, did such great work with his production homework – filming himself with his cell phone in serious and silly moments – that I devised a concept that would allow me to use his footage in my video.

Q and I shot this program one quiet afternoon between Christmas and New Years. We worked unscripted.

My Roles: Concept | Direct | Shoot (footage of Q at desk only) | Edit | Motion Graphics

Client: Center for Community Alternatives, via BRIC (Brooklyn, NY)
