In Production Now: The Weekend's 2006 Event Season

The weekend of June 9th-11th kicked off the 2006 event season for Canada's Weekend to End Breast Cancer and the UK's Aviva Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer fundraisers. Nine cities are hosting events - Winnipeg (June 9th-11th), Ottawa (July 21st-23rd), Calgary (July 28th-30th), Edmonton (August 11th-13th), Vancouver (August 18th-20th), Montreal (August 25th-27th), Toronto (September 8th-10th), Birmingham (September 15th-17th), and London (September 22nd-24th).

Telling Story will be at six of the events, filming all along the 60km routes as participants walk to raise money for breast cancer research and care in their communities. Later, in the Fall of this year, we'll be taking this footage and creating new recruitment videos, direct-response television ads, and other marketing materials for the 2007 event season.

In previous years our work for The Weekend has won Silver and Bronze Telly Awards, Summit Creative Awards, Aegis Awards, and was part of the campaign that won Silver at the 2005 Canadian Marketing Association Awards.

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer and the Aviva Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer were created and are produced by CauseForce, Inc., a Los Angeles firm.

Just Wrapped: "The Underwear Affair"

On Saturday, July 8th, Telling Story was in Vancouver with "The Underwear Affair," a new 10K run/5K walk fundraiser for cancers below the waist. The event was created and produced by our long-time client CauseForce, Inc. Our film crew followed the event through the streets of Vancouver and, over the next several months, we'll be creating a series of recruitment videos and direct-response television ads for the 2007 event.

Proceeds from "The Underwear Affair" benefit the BC Cancer Foundation, an independent charitable organization supporting research and care at the BC Cancer Agency.
